Liner notes
This is the record that taught me an album could be a mood you live inside rather than a list of songs. It gathers the three early mixtapes into one run, and played end to end it feels less like tracks and more like a single long night — the same rooms, the same regrets, the same dawn arriving whether you want it or not.
What I keep coming back for is the honesty in the ugliness. Nothing here is trying to be liked; it’s just trying to be true, and the production — cavernous, patient, a little cold — gives the voice somewhere real to echo. I’ve had it on through late study sessions and long train windows, and it holds up in both.
