My note
This is the emotional centre of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill for me. The song keeps circling the same relationship because the people in it keep having the same argument.
Lauryn Hill sounds tired, angry and still attached. It does not tidy any of that up before the song ends. I return to it because some feelings are more truthful when they stay unresolved.
